Entry for December 24, 2006
I haven't written lately but then again I don't think I really have much to say.
I made a Thanksgiving meal almost all by myself...first ever! The turkey came out good, although I didn't eat much of it - just not in the mood :) Plus I made homemade mash potatoes (they weren't great but they weren't that bad either) Then made stuffing (from a box), had corn (from when I went up to WY-my sister had made some up), had some dinner rolls (store bought of course), then of course pumpkin pie w/cool whip (store bought-maybe next year that'll be my contribution). I had some help with the turkey but like 98% was all me :) Doing a ham for Christmas :) Got done cooking/making stuff right before I started working then finished cleaning up on my break.
Not much more to tell in between then & now - back to reading alot finally! Man did I miss it :)
I got all my Christmas cards out early this year....even my sisters.....unfortunately hers is the one and only one I forgot to put a stamp on!
I gave my fish/fish tank away - It went to a family so maybe they'll be able to.....I don't know give them more loving vibes or something. I kinda miss them already - they went today - but hopefully they will do good in their new home.
That's all for now - hopefully I won't wait so long to let ya'll know how the ham does.

Well dang I have been putting this off again :) So here we go :)
I am finally having to take hot showers now.....well most of the time anyways. It got to 90 last Thurs (11/9) & I thought we finally were done with the 80's :) It has only gotten to 75 I think the last couple of days but nooooooo!! I see in paper they are predicting temps going back up to 80's :( I think the reason I am having such a hard time now with the temp is that I am so set on moving up to WY!! I haven't really used a/c the last month except for like 2 times I think. That dang 90 day was just too much for me :) I have so loved keeping the windows open this whole time!! I feel so much more energized!
I keep getting one step closer to being organized and upto date on things. Every time I finish something I feel lighter :) But on the minus side everytime I cleared out a certain space or area I end up with all these empty containers & whatnot :)
I just have to rave again about DVR's!!! I can't believe how less stressed I am about things :) I don't have to worry about missing something or the vcr or tapes going hinky or watching something when I am not in the mood but having to because if I don't I won't have space to record something else :) Plus I get to record things I normally wouldn't be able to because of all the room & being able to record 2 things at once & watching something else that was recorded while recording those other 2 programs :)
Saw a call from someone on one of our accounts that had same name as me :) I probably would have totally freaked if I had gotten it :) I am pretty much back in the groove of things with work...except for one little part of it. Waited last minute last month to do anything & I am cutting it close again this month but hoping after my 2 days off I'll be motivated enough to do something :)
Well that's about it right now :) Hopefully I'll get my movie thoughts done soon & post them in next day or so :)

Pictures explained So the reason for the picture of the double decker train is cause it tripped me out because I couldn't remember seeing any that skinny being on top of one another - Yes I know I probably have but just can't remember :)
The scenery ones aren't that great, it was sometimes because I was taking them from the car going like 80 mph :) Others are being the stupid flash kept going on one of the cameras ruining the pretty colors and contrasts! The one labeled 12-8-2004 (3) 02 & (3) 04 are shots of Lake Havasu - part of reason why I stopped here originally :)
Of course family ones don't need explained....I hope - if so feel free to call either myself or Miki :)
Pictures of outdoor animals cause I wanted a reminder of other animals besides the occasional rabbit, dog, bird :)
Pictures of Jennifer's animals just cause they're cute :)
The tractor one is explainable by Miki (sorry sis I wasn't going to include them on all of them but I was tired and all....that's my story & I'm sticking to it) :)
The one with Dan was just to show ya'll how much stuff I brought back :) It was actually alot worse & luckily I got those new shelves from work cause you can see how much that one has gone through :)
Ok the Pepsi one in the dog bowl is to show proof as to why Bailey is so wired and hyper and acts like a cat - She feeds him CAFFEINE!!!!!! (Yes I know she was just using it as a water thingy spoil sports!)
Now the ones that you can't see too clearly of Miki is one that she has mitts on after dipping her hands in wax......now this concept was new and funny to me....makes me wonder if people just have waaaay to much time on their hands to figure out that dipping your hands in wax then covering them helps :) The other one I couldn't resist taking when she was trying on Halloween stuff :) They were on my picture phone hence the not so good shots of them.
I included a few of myself too - especially that one by the car to try to show ya'll what it looks like now :)
So that's it - Hope everyone is doing well!!! :)

Hi ho hi ho Well my second week back at work has gone better - it helps I think that I have been keeping myself busy cleaning and organizing. Plus the DVR is just so flippin awesome!!!! Especially since I can be recording 2 shows at once and if I don't want to be watching those I can watch something I already recorded! Plus if I am not in the mood to watch one of the recorded shows I can always just watch one of the other recorded shows, which is impossible pretty much if you use the VCR cause you got to watch in order that you recorded. My only complaint now is that I can only record 2 shows at a time.
It finally rained here!!!!!! Rained real quick on Friday then for like 6 hours on Saturday - was very nice!!! Went out to check my mail while it was raining and got totally soaked!
I do believe I have allergies. I have been noticing it more lately. Like since I got back I am going through things (getting rid of stuff for the move in April) and cleaning and organizing and just have been sneezing like crazy, while doing stuff and after. Plus when it first starting raining I got this bad headpressure/ache. Went away shortly after but still. More and more is going down hill :)
Man I can't believe how much stuff I am getting rid of, I have 2 boxes so far of stuff I am going to try to give away and 3 bags of garbage. I would say I am about 1/2 way through :) Yes I know it is a little early to start getting ready to move but I have so much stuff and it is such a long drive that the more that I whiddle down my stuff the better. I am just worried I will have to get rid of some of my books!!!
Sunday October 15, 2006 - 11:52pm
Oy....work Well this is the end of my 3rd day back at work....from home. Man has it been difficult. I think it would have been easier going into the office to get back in the swing of things but since I am at home all I want to do is something else. It just doesn't feel like work, work yet. Maybe it has just been my graves. Nothing to really occupy my mind enough or something. Although I do have some work, work to do I just can't seem to get into the swing enough to do it. Maybe next weekend when I have got 1 week under my belt. Right now its just kinda like I am stir crazy. I just have too many little things I want to do around the apartment but can't really be away from the computer that much or everytime I try to do something else I get calls. Of course it could be that I have 5 minutes left of work and it just seems to be crawling by :)Tags: Edit Tags
Sunday October 8, 2006 - 06:55am (MDT) Edit Delete Permanent Link 0 Comments Finally I finally got a newer fridge and this one is actually white!!!!!!!!!! My old one was brown with only 1 door, so that to get to freezer part you opened up the door for the whole fridge and then there was a littler door on the top to put freezer stuff. But it never worked as well as it should usually, it would always ice up really bad. Can't even get like 3 items in at that point. This newer one, although old and not in great great shape, is far and above better then the old one. Has seperate fridge/freezer parts and while it looks smaller I don't really think there is all that much smaller space. Although it is about an inch or two shorter then old one. It took them about 20-30 min to get the old one out, it had melded with the wall and floor. He had to get a crowbar and fight with it to get it out. So needless to say I am happier with it but it still seems kinda weird to see this big white thing in the corner instead of a big brown thing......ok that sounds a little wrong :)

My vacation bk 2 My trip bk 2
So most people would probably go back to sleep right away....but when you have only had like 6 hrs sleep in 36 hrs & 16 of those hrs was spent practically just driving your brain tends not to listen to anything or anyone else :) So it wasn't til about 2pm that I took a quick 2 hour nap then woke up and helped cook dinner. First I went shopping and driving around with Miki and Chandler (her son and my nephew) and wow has the place changed!! Everything is so much prettier and well maintained! It is growing so much still but there were a few places that I still remembered :) That night we had a nice little family gathering/dinner with Miki, Chris (Miki's husband), Chandler, Jennifer (my cousin), Aunt Cynthia, my nephews Dominick and Jeremay, then towards end Linda, Bill, Aunt Shirley and Uncle Dave. It was pretty nice and made me realize that I have been missing out on alot!!! When we finally broke up for the night and I got to my cousin Jennifer's house to sleep it took me forever to finally fall asleep! You would like after only like 6 hours sleep in almost 52 hours I would be tired, but no I was still too excited about being there I guess :)
On Thurs I went to Miki's for a few hours and just visited then we went to Hallmark. Boy oh boy do I now remember why I don't go into our Hallmark here! There was so much I saw that I would have liked to buy! I actually only got one little thing there, a little flat glass butterfly with a sun/moon dangling from it (technically Miki bought it-stubborn thing wouldn't let me buy it myself!) Then we went to a birthday lunch for me at The Chophouse with Miki, Jennifer, Michelle (Jennifer's friend), Linda, Aunt Paul, Uncle Greg, Cousin Greg, Aunt Shirley, Aunt Cynthia, Grandma, and brother Bills wife Shawn showed up later. Just as we were walking in it started to rain, I had hoped for snow but the rain was nice too, it rained for 2 days straight!! :) Service was nice, the food was good, and had a nice atmosphere to it. My only complaint was that everyone actually sang happy birthday to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is luckily only the second time since I have been an adult that I have been sung happy birthday to in a restaurant :) Plus also luckily the place was pretty much empty at that point :) But seeing as I loved everyone at the table I have to forgive them, especially since it made that day that more special :) Then we did some more shopping and then went back to Miki's and watched TV then I went back to Jennifer's and we sat and watched TV and talked for about an hour. It was pretty nice just kicking back and talking and watching TV.
On Friday Miki and I went through some things from our Grandmother Knickerbocker then later in the day had lunch with my Aunt Paula at a Chinese buffet (can't remember name of it), had really cool tables and I actually liked almost 95% of what I got. I am normally just a pork fried rice girl but I was pleasantly surprised. It was nice to catch up with my aunt on everything too. We sat and talked some at the restaurant then went back to her house and sat and visited for a bit also. She had this wax thingy that you stick your hands into, then you wrapped them up and let them sit for a bit, I kinda got a picture of Miki in her mitts but since it is on my camera phone it isn't too clear. :) Then after a bit we went shopping again (okay I know it sounds like that is all we did but I really didn't get too overly much....kinda sorta like and what I did get actually usually was less then $10 or $20 at any given place and it was mostly just to check the town out since I have been gone so long) Then that night Miki, Chandler, Linda, Bill, Aunt Shirley, Uncle Dave and I went to Bootleggers for dinner. It was a nice place, for the first half of dinner we had a little section away from everyone else to ourselves so it made it really nice.
On Saturday we took it easy. Miki and I looked through some old pictures of ours. Then later in the day we went shopping with Jennifer and then went to Applebees. Place was nice, I have never been to one before. We had a nice little dinner and talk :) Then I turned in early for the night after having our nightly little chat with Jennifer :)
On Sunday we had a little family gathering, I guess they always have them on Sundays, Miki, Chandler, Linda, Bill, Aunt Shirley, Uncle Dave, Grandma, Aunt Cynthia, Aunt Bee, Uncle Jim, Bill, Shawn, and my nieces Breanna and Jamie . It was a nice little morning, relaxing and fun. Then Miki and Chandler (who actually slept through all the shopping and didn't wake til on way home) and I went shopping once again :) Then we went home and watched some more TV then Miki cut my hair, 17 inches or so in back then another 15 inches or so in front from some more bangs, and dyed it red. Then we finished watching a show then I headed off once again.

Quick Joke Bottle Fed Baby A woman and a baby come into the doctor's office.
She is taken into an examining room and waits for the doctor.
After arriving there, the doctor examines the baby, and finds him not gaining much weight and asks the woman, "Is he breast fed or on the bottle?"
"Oh...he is breast fed!", replied the woman.
"Well then, strip down to your waist," orders the doctor.
She takes off her top and bra and sits on the examing table.
The doc starts pressing, kneading and pinching both breasts for quite a while in a very detailed and thorough examination.
The doc motions to her to get dressed, then the doctor says, "No wonder this baby is so hungry. You don't have any milk!"
The woman with a wry grin on her face responds, "Well of course I don't, I'm his aunt!"

My vacation bk 1 For my first week of vacation I went to Wyoming. Here is the 1st installment of what happened :)
My Trip :) bk 1
Well my trip up wasn't too eventful. Left around 11:30am-11:45am Tues 9/19, after like 4 hrs sleep. I had to work til 12am on Mon 9/18, then I stayed up to watch the last of my recorded tapes (had to make room for new ones to be recorded while gone) :) til about 1am. Afterwards I layed down & just couldn't go to sleep til about 2am, then got woken up around 6am by a phone call. Which in a way was good because I hadn't really finished packing yet so I got it almost all done then around 8am went & got my rental car (cruise control, automatic seats/everything, sunroof, cd player, satellite radio, hemmy) did some last minute shopping, finished packing and then off I went.
I stopped for gas in Cedar City, UT & Little America, WY and only stopped to rest once just outside of Salt Lake City, UT around 9pm'ish.
Almost got into wreck in Salt Lake because traffic was heavy and the guy in front of me stopped suddenly so I slammed on my breaks while quickly looking in back then in front again to make sure no one was going to hit me. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't been able to stop in time or the guy behind me hadn't been able to slow down in time, needless to say that guy my adrenaline pumping!!!! Woke me up enough that I was able to get through the rest of it but I realized I really needed to take a break. So I pulled over and used restroom then opened the sunroof, layed back, had some chips and relaxed. I was going to take a nap but after like 20 minute I suddenly had energy so off I went again. I did have some trouble of keeping awake through out the whole trip but whenever it got too bad I would change the station or drink some water, towards the end I had to eat a few pieces of candy. But for most part wasn't too bad!
I have to say though that you shouldn't just rely on what google maps or mapquest gives for directions!! They both almost got me lost! Either they weren't too clear or they threw in some extra directions. Whenever I got confused (going & coming back) I just hung in there though and just kept either going south or north :) and eventually I got back on track!
I knew I had really hit Wyoming when I drove threw Rawlins & there was an antelope eating some grass at the side of the road!! Then of course I decided to go a different way then google maps suggested and hit 3 bunnies, I tried to avoid them but just couldn't!!! There were bunnies everywhere! I swear I couldn't go a mile without seeing at least 3 bunnies, either roadkill or alive! One time I actually closed my eyes & swerved!!!!! Needless to say I pretty much slapped myself and told myself I would try a little to avoid the bunnies but had to realize that some would just have to die because I wasn't willing to sacrifice myself for them.
I hadn't been back for around 5 years and let me tell you what!! Things had changed so much! There used to be barely anyone out that way and I tried using this church there as a guide of sorts as too how much more I had to go but I kept getting phyched out. There are all these other buildings out there now that everytime I thought "Only a few more miles!!" it wasn't it. Finally I saw the church but still got messed up because there were all these other houses now! I drove right pass my road but luckily realized it only a few feet away so I braked & turned around. Even though I knew I was on the correct road I still kept thinking maybe my tired mind was playing tricks on me because there were still all these new houses! Were before I would see like 3 other houses there were at least 5-7 new houses. Finally got to the next road and saw the street sign (which in itself seemed strange because I was on a dirt road and just not used to street signs on dirt roads!) and turned on the correct road and finally got to my destination! Although I saw a car at my sister MIki's house getting ready to leave I was just so flippin tired I pulled up to my mother Linda's house in front of the garage, turned off the engine, leaned the seat back, got my blanket and fell right asleep. This was about 4am (AZ time) and 5am (WY time), I woke about 2 hrs later chilled!!! (Remember I come from AZ where when I left it was 96 in the day and maybe 60-70 at night and then in WY a few min after I woke up it was like 40-50 I think) So I turned on the car for some heat and I had just turned it off and layed back down when next thing I now the garage door was opening. Of course I was a little foggy so I wondering how it was opening on its own when I thought to look at the house and there they were in the window waving to me. Bill came out and told me they were awake and to come on in. I didn't have to be told twice! Wednesday September 27, 2006 - 12:07pm
So Funny! I figured out the punch line of this rather early on but still had me laughing so hard I had trouble finishing it!!!!
Subject: Cat Lover or NotCat Lover or Not, this is hysterical! We've all had trouble with our animals, but I don't think anyone can top this one:
Calling in sick to work makes me uncomfortable. No matter how legitimate my excuse, I always get the feeling that my boss thinks I'm lying.
On one recent occasion, I had a valid reason but lied anyway, because the truth was just too darned humiliating. I simply mentioned that I had sustained a head injury, and I hoped I would feel up to coming in the next day. By then, I reasoned, I could think up a doozy to explain the bandage on the top of my head. The accident occurred mainly because I had given in to my wife's wishes to adopt a cute little kitty.
Initially, the new acquisition was no problem--.
Then one morning, I was taking my shower after breakfast when I heard my wife, Deb, call out to me from the kitchen. "Honey! The garbage disposal is dead again. Please come reset it."
"You know where the button is," I protested through the shower pitter-patter and steam. "Reset it yourself!"
"But I'm scared!" she persisted. "What if it starts going and sucks me in?" There was a meaningful pause and then, "C'mon, it'll only take you a second."
So out I came, dripping wet and butt naked, hoping that my silent outraged nudity would make a statement about how I perceived her behavior as extremely cowardly.
Sighing loudly, I squatted down and stuck my head under the sink to find the button. It is the last action I remember performing.
It struck without warning, and without any respect to my circumstances. No, it wasn't the hexed disposal, drawing me into its gnashing metal teeth. It was our new kitty, who discovered the fascinating dangling objects she spied hanging between my legs. She had been poised around the corner and stalked me as I reached under the sink. At the precise moment when I was most vulnerable, she leapt at the toys I unwittingly offered and snagged them with her needle-like claws. I lost all rational thought to control orderly bodily movements, blindly rising at a violent rate of speed, with the full weight of a kitten hanging from my masculine region. Wild animals are sometimes faced with a "fight or flight" syndrome. Men, in this predicament, choose only the "flight" option. I know this from experience. I was fleeing straight up into the air when the sink and cabinet bluntly and forcefully impeded my ascent. The impact knocked me out cold.
When I awoke, my wife and the paramedics stood over me. Now there are not many things in this life worse than finding oneself lying on the kitchen floor butt naked in front of a group of "been-there, done-that" paramedics.
Even worse, having been fully briefed by my wife, the paramedics were all snorting loudly as they tried to conduct their work, all the while trying to suppress their hysterical laughter.....and not succeeding.
Somehow I lived through it all. A few days later I finally made it back in to the office, where colleagues tried to coax an explanation out of me about my head injury. I kept silent, claiming it was too painful to talk about, which it was. "What's the matter?" They all asked, "Cat got your tongue?"
If they only knew!
Why is it that only the women laugh at this?

Movie Reviews (finally) III The Benchwarmers - Liked the actors so I tried it. Had me laughing. Had a few juvenile parts but over all was good.
V for Vendetta - Liked the explosions being timed with the classical piece. Had positive ending but wish it could have been happier. Felt kinda let down after girl was freed, anticlimactic.
The Shaggy Dog - Kiddish movie - funnier parts of movie were with the other animals although the humans were good too.
Inside Man - Good movie - one of the better bank robbery movies I have seen. Kinda had it figured out but still surprised me in a few spots. Liked how the bad guy got it in the end!
RV - Not one of Robin Williams better movies. Did have me laughing in a few places but kinda expected it to be better but still would R.
Silent Hill - Sooooo loved it! They did a good job of bringing the game to movie! Made me wish I had copy of game at home to play again! Save the gory parts til the end :) Seemed a little like they were setting it up for a 2nd movie!
Just My Luck - At times it was hard to remember she was trying to act like an adult. Seemed kiddish in parts. But liked the ending so would R.
Poseidon - Like this version better then the older one. Never watched the older one til the end but maybe I will now. Special effects were nice but had me wondering if they really have no way of knowing if tidal wave is almost on them & if so if they really would just keep it to themselves. Ending was good but of course I wish more could have survived!
Friday August 25, 2006 - 04:24pm
Movie Reviews (finally) II Blood Rayne - Vampire movie based on a game (but never heard of game). Acting wasn't that good and effects left alot to be desired but cause it's preternatural movie I would R.
Eight Below - Loved even though it made me cry. Scenery was awesome! Dogs absolutely adorable!
Annapolis - Military movie. Not alot of action with only a little violence (boxing). But still liked it.
Ultra Violet - Futuristic vampirish movie. Some special effects were awful but still liked it alot!
Failure to Launch - Was ok - Had a few funny/good parts. Liked all the actors/actresses so would R.
Leroy & Stitch - Very cute, huggable, lovable! So glad the sandwich fella finally got a name & Lilo looked good red!
Basic Instinct 2 - Liked it better then 1st, don't know if because it was in England though :) It did seem kinda predictable but did have a little twist at end.
The Producers - Not too bad for a musical but dragged a little and didn't laugh very much. Had a few funny parts. Not sure I would recommend or not.
Dr Doolittle 3 - Was kinda cute. Had a funny part with a snake. Didn't have Eddie Murphy in it and that would have made it a R but without not sure I could.
Final Destination 3 - Bring on the flinching gore! Maybe not as much as last two but was still good! Liked the option in the extras of changing the destinies of them!
Friday August 25, 2006 - 03:46pm
Movie Reviews (finally) Cheaper by Dozen 2 - Funnier then 1st one. Loved the actors/actresses & they were the same ones from the 1st. One of the better Steve Martin movies. The dog going after the meat was one of the parts that I remember most :)
Final Fantasy VII - Loved it of course, being a gamer & anime' lover! Still get impressed every time I see graphics like that! Made me long to play Final Fantasy again!
Firewall - Most of movie was same old same old, guy kidnaps family, makes threats, plots to do something bad, but a few parts were good enough that I would R. Plus the ending was a bit different.
Underworld: Evolution - Loved Loved Loved! Only thing I didn't like was that it ended! Special effects awesome!!
The Pink Panther - Had a few funny parts but no very many. Wouldn't really recommend this Steve Martin movie.
Green Street Hooligans - Wasn't expecting much but turned out really good. Had sad ending but still would R. Does have bit of regular violence (no guns).
Aquamarine - More for the teenager then anything. Ending was a nice little twist though.
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - Mostly had what I guess people would say was morbid humor. Few parts dragged but would R. One of the few that my guess wasn't 100% of how it would end.
Night Watch - Foreign preternatural movie from Russia (I think) Had some good special effects. would have been better with some sexy scenes (but that's true for all) :) Looking forward to next ones.
The Hills Have Eyes - Gory, nasty movie that had me cringing in places! Definitely R! Makes you think twice about taking back roads!
Friday August 25, 2006 - 03:28pm
The other day... I rented a car, cause I just get sick of transit system & begging for rides, and I knew I should have just gone home to bed but noooo. I had just got off work & just didn't feel like going home - so I decided to go by Salvation Army to see if anyone left anything good out. I am all looking around not paying attention to were I am going & all of a sudden I whip my head around & helllllllloooooo power pole! Just barely breaked in time! I had to have only had like a inch away from it. Not that it would have cost much damage but hey any little bit would have been bad. The day before on my way back from Wendy's at this stop like on they highway the light changes when me & this older little truck are like almost on it. I stop in time but the guy doesn't. He finallys tops in the middle of the intersection & just sits there waiting for light to turn. Made me remember my dreams like that!!! But I was like - why didn't he just keep going? No one was there - it was on the outskirts of town, no cops. Guess he just had bad breaks or something!
Tuesday August 8, 2006 - 06:36pm
Sad Sad Sad Had to lay my poor oscars to rest. My ex finally came over & did it. They had hole in the head so bad & were way way way to big for the tank I had & I never have enough to get them a bigger one. Have you seen the cost of those things!!!!!!!!! But I digress - please pause a moment in remembrance of Oscar & Oscarina.
Tuesday August 8, 2006 - 06:29pm
Yeah! Looks like I will actually be going & doing something for my birthday!!!!! I will be going to Wyoming, driving not flying thank you very much! I don't think I would have been able to handle flying there again. Yes it has been over 5 years since I last flew & got so nauseous from it but unless they have suddenly development technology to make it smoother without announcing it would have been bad! Of course driving for a day or so will be tiring but hey I don't mind! According to google maps it'll take 21 hrs & 10 min. I think I can do it all in 1 sitting. I'll have to sleep 1/2 a day to recoup but hey! It'll be worth it!
Tuesday August 8, 2006 - 06:22pm
What can I say? Sorry everyone - I haven't done this in so long. Just to let you know I am still alive & kicking. I am in the middle of doing some dishes so I have to keep this brief. I promise to do this again very soon. I was kinda out of it for a while. About a month ago for a month almost I just had no energy to do anything. It was all I could do just to get ready for work & go. Then right after that I had my yearly back pain. I swear when ever the weather changes my back seizes up & so I had problems walking/sitting/sleeping for like 2 weeks. Just finally got over it a couple of days ago. So I gotta run now but soon I will be back to go over movies I have seen & what not. Hope everyone is doing well!

New Movie Reviews Howdy ya'll :) I am doing fine. Reading & watching tv/movies & working & sleeping. Same old same old. Fishies are so so. Doing better though. :)
So here we go (R=recommend & NR=Not recommended & ?=Not sure) : Wolf Creek-? - Had me up til the end. But then you remember its based on real events (like the boat one). : An Unfinished Life-R - Not too bad. A bit long but had good ending. : Fun with Dick and Jane-R - I was worried it would only have a few good parts & few funny parts but it suprised me by having a good share of them. Feel good movie :) : Hostel-R - Gory! Was slow in the beginning but got better. Had me turning away in a few parts & thats telling! Ending was so so but didn't detract for it over all. : Nine Lives-NR - Total let down. I fast forwarded past alot of it. : Chicken Little-R! Very cute & funny! So loved the little alien dude!

Movie rundown So a quick movie rundown. 1st the negatives. I so don't recommend Dear Wendy or The Weather Man - very dissapointed in both. The so-so's are In Her Shoes-not as funny as I hoped but not too bad, History of Violence-ending was a little flat, Prize Winner of Defiance, OH-heart warming but kinda boring, Derailed-kinda good but a little predictable in my opinion, Just Friends-wasn't too bad but ending was kinda anticlimatic. The ones I recommend Harry Potter & Goblet of Fire-special effects are awesome once more & plot was good but kinda seemed like missing a few parts of story, Howl's Moving Castle-anime movie-very cute, Beauty Shop-very good comedy-had me laughing, Madagascar-disney movie-very funny, Memoirs of a Geisha-oriental so of course I loved it :) The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe-special effects are awesome-really got caught up in it but a little too soon after Harry Potter-ending was left wanting a bit and last but not least Stay-good thriller that I didn't really figure out til the end.

Fishes & stuff Well looks like the fishes are going to make it. Got some help from this lady from a website. I was all panicky & thinking I was going to have to put them down. Not 100% yet but getting there. Weather is starting to heat up here!!!! Had to use a/c for a couple of days there. Cooled down for another day or two but starting to rise again. I am doing alright. Time to do the cleaning & organizing thing. Haven't been able to get myself motivated very much. Just now starting to do a little at a time. I will be working from home now on Sundays....yeah Internet!!!! The $3 transit system here stopped running on Sundays so it would cost me $16-$24 just to go to & from work that day so they got me set up from home. Going to be so weird!

International Relations Joke A plane leaves Los Angeles airport under the control of a Jewish captain. His copilot is Chinese. It's the first time they've flown together and an awkward silence between the two seems to indicate a mutual dislike. Once they reach cruising altitude, the Jewish captain activates the auto pilot, leans back in his seat, and mutters, "I don't like Chinese." "No rike Chinese?" asks the copilot, "why not?" "You people bombed Pearl Harbor, that's why!" "No, no," the copilot protests, "Chinese not bomb Peahl Hahbah! That Japanese, not Chinese." "Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese.. doesn't matter, you're all alike!" There's a few minutes of silence. "No rike Jews!" the copilot suddenly announces. "Why not?" asks the captain. "Jews sink Titanic," the copilot responds. "Jews didn't sink the Titanic!" exclaims the captain, "It was an iceberg!" "Iceberg, Goldberg, Greenberg, Rosenberg, no mattah... all same!"

Wolf Wisdom Two Wolves
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between two "wolves" inside all of us. One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith." The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?" The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

Entry for March 26, 2006 Dang! It has almost been a month since doing this. Sorry ya'll! Well I'll do a run down of movies in a few days but for now I am doing ok. It is looking like I am going to have to put one or both of my fish to sleep. Poor thing isn't doing well at all. Will find out when I go home tonight. Starting to warm up here. Dreading it like you wouldn't believe!
Looks like I will be able to work from home at least one day a week. Still kinda pending the big boss approval. City Transit (which only costs $3) is not running on Sundays anymore so it would have cost me around $16-$24 to get from & to work & possibly from work again.
Hopefully will have apartment just mine again. I know I know I am just to dang nice to him but I couldn't have trouble being mean.....even if it is standing up for myself. Guess I just gotta harden up a little huh? :)

Joke for 2/27/06 Password Stars A new employee calls the Help Desk to complain that there's something wrong with her password.
"The problem is that whenever I type the password, it just shows stars," she says.
"Those asterisks are to protect you," the Help Desk technician explains, "so if someone were standing behind you, they wouldn't be able to read your password."
"Yeah," she says, "but they show up even when there is no one standing behind me!"

Movies seen around 2/17/06 Zathura was ok - kinda predictable if you've seen Jumanji.
Saw2 was very good - don't know what all the hype was about. Didn't seem more gorey then the 1st one & I liked the ending of this one!!
Mirror Mask was interesting. I liked the concept & arty feel to it. Probably would have liked it more if I hadn't been so tired when I watched it. But they did a good job of bringing the artwork to life!

Hummingbird I saw my 1st hummingbird of the year! It didn't stick around long because I had to walk directly by the plant it was with to do my laundry :( Saw a lizard sunning itself on the sidewalk a month or so ago too. Walked right up to it & it didn't even flinch :)

Joke! Taser Stun Gun, a great gift for the wife.
Pocket Taser Stun Gun, a great gift for the wife. This was submitted by a guy who purchased his lovely wife a "pocket taser" for their anniversary.Last weekend I saw something at Larry's Pistol & Pawn Shop that sparked my interest. The occasion was our 22nd anniversary and I was looking for a little something extra for my wife Toni. What I came across was a 100,000-volt, pocket/purse-sized taser. The effects of the taser weresuppose to be short lived, with no long-term adverse affect on your assailant, allowing her adequate time to retreat to safety.... WAY TOO COOL!Long story short, I bought the device and brought it home. I loaded two triple-a batteries in the darn thing and pushed the button. Nothing! I was disappointed. I learned, however, that if I pushed the button AND pressed it against a metal surface at the same time; I'd get the bluearch of electricity darting back and forth between the prongs.Awesome!!!Unfortunately, I have yet to explain to Toni what that burn spot is on the face of her microwave.Okay, so I was home alone with this new toy, thinking to myself that it couldn't be all that bad with only two triple-a batteries...right?!!!There I sat in my recliner, my cat Gracie looking on intently (trusting little soul) while I was reading the directions and thinking that I really needed to try this thing out on a flesh & blood moving target. I must admit I thought about zapping Gracie (for a fraction of a second)and thought better of it. She is such a sweet cat. But, if I was going to give this thing to my wife to protect herself against a mugger, I did want some assurance that it would work as advertised. Am I wrong? So, there I sat in a pair of shorts and a tank top with my readingglasses perched delicately on the bridge of my nose, directions in one hand, taser in another. The directions said that a one-second burst would shock and disorient your assailant; a two-second burst was supposed to cause muscle spasms and a major loss of bodily control; athree-second burst would purportedly make your assailant flop on the around like a fish out of water. Any burst longer than three seconds would be wasting the batteries. All the while I'm looking at this little device measuring about 5" long, less than 3/4 inch in circumference; pretty cute really and loaded with two itsy, bitsy triple-a batteries) thinking to myself, "no possible way!"What happened next is almost beyond description, but I'll do my best.....I'm sitting there alone, Gracie looking on with her head cocked to oneside as to say, "don't do it master," reasoning that a one-second burst from such a tiny little ole thing couldn't hurt all that bad....I decided to give myself a one-second burst just for the heck of it. I touched the prongs to my naked thigh, pushed the button, and HOLY MOTHER, WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION@!@$$!%!@*!!!I'm pretty sure Jessie Ventura ran in through the side door, picked me up in the recliner, then body slammed us both on the carpet, over and over and over again. I vaguely recall waking up on my side in the fetal position, with tears in my eyes, body soaking wet, both nipples onfire, testicles nowhere to be found, with my left arm tucked under my body in the oddest position, and tingling in my legs. The cat was standing over me making meowing sounds I had never heard before, licking my face, undoubtedly thinking to herself, "do it again, do it again!" Note: If you ever feel compelled to "mug" yourself with a taser, one note of caution: there is no such thing as a one-second burst when you zap yourself. You will not let go of that thing until it is dislodged from your handby a violent thrashing about on the floor. A three second burst would be considered conservative. SON-OF-A-.... that hurt like hell!!! A minute or so later (I can't be sure, as time was a relative thing at that point), collected my wits (what little I had left), sat up and surveyed the landscape. My bent reading glasses were on the mantel of the fireplace. How did they up get there??? My triceps, right thigh and both nipples were still twitching. My face felt like it had been shot up with Novocain, and my bottom lip weighed 88 lbs. I'm still looking for my testicles. I'm offering a significant rewardfor their safe return.Still in shock, Tommy

Entry for February 13, 2006 Sorry I haven't kept up to date. I have been so tired this last couple of weeks. Actually fell asleep the other day at work. Last 15 min of my shift, coworker/manager had come on 15 min earlier, I had put all my stuff away & had nothing to do. Was so tired I just couldn't keep my eyes open so I thought just to rest them for a bit. Next thing I knew my coworker was talking to a customer - asked her if I had fallen asleep & she said yes! Talk about timing, I was alone all night & just had to wait til someone else was there to finally succumb to sleep. Will be adding some pictures soon - really truly!

Entry for February 02, 2006 Well I have officially run out of my extra money! So relieved - it sounds weird but its like a wait lifted from my shoulders. Kept waiting for other shoe to drop. Not saying the extra room to breathe wasn't nice but I am so used to going from paycheck to paycheck! Plus I am happy with what I have and can't think of anything else I really could want. Lived on the ground longer now then in the clouds.
Thursday February 2, 2006 - 05:23am
Entry for January 24, 2006 Well I finally have a computer again! Plus alot of things I have been wanting really bad for a long time. I'll be able to add alot more entries now & pictures!
