Few movies Smoking Aces - was pretty good. I liked the little twist at the end. I was thinking there would be one but I hadn't guessed 100% correctly :) Although I didn't like alternate ending on extras. & I have to say the guy sitting on his own chainsaw, while it was running, was pretty good :)
.45 - was so so. I really only watched it for Mila :) She is awesome but she is really.....bold & graphic, sexually like, and if you aren't expecting it, can shock you a bit. Especially when you think about her Resident Evil & Fifth Element roles :)
Blades of Glory - was another so so. I watched it cause I was kinda curious about it but it didn't really ring any bells with me. It had a few funny parts in it.
Perfect Stranger - was good! It had a twist at the end that totally blew me away. I wasn't expecting it at all!!! I would recommend it.
The Reaping - was actually good. I had my doubts since it was supposed to be kinda biblical (I think) & what not but it wasn't really all that much. It also had a nice little twist at the end. Ya just gotta love the twists. :) Also the previews made it seem almost like a horror flick but it wasn't really. Only really gorey part is part with boils & maybe the locusts attacking.
Hostel: Part II - was okay. Not as gorey as 1st one but it did have a few parts.....like when the guy lost his jewels, that was a good one :) I liked the ending of it - made me want to stand up & cheer for the chick! :)
Return to House on Haunted Hill - was okay. It seemed kinda flat but I liked them showing more of the haunted hospital....what can I saw I like abandoned buildings :) But I swear the changed how the front of the flippin thing looked & that kinda irked me! But they left the entry hall the same, I think. The ending was so so too.

Thanksgiving.....I think So I am like beyond exhausted & brain numb right now but that is usually when I do this & it tends to actually turn out halfway decent :)
So Thanksgiving was awesome! :) But I was kinda bummed :( My dang pain was acting up so I couldn't help anyone & just kinda sat off by myself out of the way.....althought that way I didn't have to talk much :) But my dang loveable family is persistant & kept finding me & talking to me :) I was on dessert duty & decided to make a pecan pie (yes actually make) & this ribbon jello salad thingy my grandma used to make for the holidays (dang I miss her). Well the pecan pie turned out good so I decided to try another one since I was sure how many would actually be there but the 2nd one decided to like explode on me. Then my ribbon jello salad got messed up so I decided to do another one too, well that one didn't turn out how it did last year either but it wasn't too bad but I took it anyway. So lo & behold I had a pecan pie & pan of ribbon jello salad at home that I very very stupidly ate myself....so not going to do that again....even tho it tasted to good :) Don't know yet what duty I'll be assigned yet for Christmas but if its desserts again I am so not keeping the rejects!!! :)
Its snowed like 5 or 6 times (or maybe more) this year & I just love love love love it!!!!! Except for the whole shoveling stuff! Not too loving that :) Driving still worries me some after it snows, once it melts a bit I'm not such a worrywart :) My kitty Spirit finally started trying to attack the snow from inside. I was wondering when/if she was gonna do it. She was standing on the back of my couch leaning against the window doing the clicky thing in her throat when she is getting ready to attack something & was pawing the window trying to get to the flakes :) I haven't really taken her out in it yet - I took her out when it did the sleety/snowy thing like a month or so ago & haven't since. She was shivering so much when there wasn't snow & I took her out when it was cool out that I haven't had the guts to take her out again. Maybe I'll get some booties for her or something & then take her out a bit so she can play a little.....while on harness & leash of course :) Still haven't gotten her fixed yet & can't afford any little ones so she doesn't get to run free :) Even tho her dang boyfriends still visit! I see their little tracks a lot easier in the snow coming up to do door & whatnot :)
Only thing that would make things better is if I wasn't in pain.....and of course had more money :)
Well happy holidays!!!!

Movies! Well I don't rent much from Netflix anymore & more often then not they just are not noteworthy enough to mention so I just forget them. I am renting a bit more from the store but not too much. Here's what I can remember :)
Music & Lyrics - don't really recommend - was a bit of a let down. I like both main actors/actresses but the movie just seemed to drag a bit.
The Fountain - another one I don't really recommend - the previews made it looks so cool & whatnot but it was a total bore & let down. Special effects were kinda neat but it just didn't help the movie out really.
The Hitcher - wasn't too bad of a movie really. Ending was kinda sucky but thats just because the couple didn't end up in the end :) Really makes you think twice about picking up hitch hikers though :)
Because I Said So - was a cute little comedy/romance. I would recommend it. Its been awhile since I have seen it but it left me with a good feeling :)
Man of the Year - was kinda funny - was expecting more from it - not sure if I would recommend it or not. Had a bit too much of a serious them for me. Then he does the honorable thing in the end & I was like that was just soooo stupid :)
Deja Vu - was ok - my sister liked it more then I did. The idea of that being possible was cool but the whole he goes back when he wasn't supposed to & ......well its the whole time travel thing. Kinda gives you a headache if you try to explain it :)
Return To Me - I would recommend it - its a cute little romance - I just love the actress though :) Its kinda sad too & makes you wonder what you would do in their places.
300 - Was ok - the fighting scenes were pretty cool....except they would show the blood shooting out but then that was it - no one was covered in it & the ground wasn't bloody. Liked the pierced guy kinda :)
Hot Fuzz - I love the actors in this but then ending just had me cringing & shaking my head. It was just....just....ridiculous I guess. Yes the whole movie was supposed to be kinda like that but still it was a bit of a let down (the ending not the whole movie)
Vacancy - It was ok I guess. Guess you can't really expect much when its centered around all happening in a remote hotel. Ending was kinda cool though - they defeated the bad guys :)
disturbia - Wasn't too too bad but did drag in a few places. Not sure if I would recommend or not though. Didn't really leave too much of a lasting impression really. Except bad guy got his just deserts in the end.
Can't think of anything else right now - I so gotta start watching more movies :) Of course 1st I gotta get another dvd player. Even just a cheap one - the ones I have now are sucky! :)
Sunday September 16, 2007 - 06:36am
Here's a bit of stuff I don't have much energy to write much but lets see how much I can update :) Lets see I can't remember what I last wrote so forgive if I repeat anything :)
I got a kitten about a month or so ago - her name is Spirit and boy does she live up to her name :) She is soooo cute & adorable & can be a massive pest!!!! I totally understand why people take tons of pictures of their pets & kids now :) I stop myself from doing it too much but I still take a few :) Plus with my handy dandy cell phone I can do little 15 second videos of her :) I was lucky & got her potty trained but part of me wish I could have gotten her when she was a little itty bitty thing - especially when I see pictures of baby kittens :) Oh yeah & we are pretty sure she is already in heat!!!! Doesn't help when I those blasted other cats go strolling by the trailer, like the 1st week I got here I think I went to take trash out one night & turned on the outside light & there were 2 cats sitting down at the end of my stairs. I hadn't even seen a cat really before that. So poor thing is gonna be getting fixed soon. Still torn about getting her declawed, besides the expense I just don't know if I have it in me to do it. It just seems kinda cruel, of course right after she has scratched me up accidently I swear up & down I am going to do it but then I think of how mean it is & I change my mind :)
I finally got my behind to the doctors for my various problems and what not. But especially for my back - part of me hoped it was something because I was kinda worried it was all in my head or just like a sprained muscle or something. Turns out I have 2 herniated discs. I have to say if you are not claustrophobic & you have an MRI don't watch yourself go in cause you will make yourself claustrophobic. I watched myself go in the 1st time & had to have the guy take me back out cause I started tripping but the 2nd time I kept my eyes shut and only tweaked a little :) I had one epideral/steroid shot already but it didn't help enough - they were only able to do 1/2 of the medicine because I was just in so much pain they had to stop. So I am going back in about 2 wks to get another one. It helped a little....very little the 1st time so I am hoping the next one will be better not holding my breath though. My back dr is a total dick though - said all I can do besides getting shots is loose weight (like duh, I hadn't thought of that but how exactly am I supposed to do that when just walking from one side of my trailer to the other I am almost crying out in pain, not even to mention trying to go shopping), won't even prescribe any more pain meds - said I have to go through my other dr now. Didn't have any suggestions for any exercise or anything & at the flippin 1st and only appt I had with him he almost didn't even recommend the MRI or pain meds, it was like pulling teeth trying to get any help from him. Oh well I am coping :) Now if some of the other problems I am having would kindly stop I would be doing good :)
Lets see what else....still haven't really spent alot of time with family or old friend yet. The pain & what not just drain me & I have no flippin energy to do anything!!
I so can't wait for my birthday!!!!! 5 days away!!!! Just because like the bestest movie/series is coming out that day!!!! Resident Evil!!!!!! Now if it will just come to the theatre here on that day. It says its coming soon to the really nice one but it hasn't given a date on it yet - meanies!! It doesn't help that they are played the 1st one tonight & are playing the next one I think tomorrow or next day. Getting me all hyped up to see next one :) Plus it gets me craving to play the games again :)
I'll be driving to Denver on like 19th or 20th to pick up my sister & nephew from airport. Kinda cool she is getting in day before my birthday so maybe we can hang out on my day :) I am thinking of driving up day early & getting room but not sure - the cheapest one is like $72 & an hr away. It doesn't help she gets in so flippin eary in the day!!!
Uhm...oh yeah the weather has been like really nice the last week - only got in 80's once but tomorrow/today supposed to get up to 86 but then drop down to 70's so I am liking it - get to keep the windows open :)
I still haven't painted anything or put anything up but I think I am going to real soon. Saw this nail in the wall the other day & just spur of the moment hung up this suncatcher thingy & it made me realise I really need to get stuff up on my walls. Not to mention I really got to get that dang bathroom done one way or the other. Little spirit likes to help taking stuff off the walls but unfortunately she isn't going for the wallpaper really she goes for the little nails sticking out & the stuff that was behind the wallpaper. I have tried to get her to stop but I swear she knows she isn't supposed to, she gets this look about her when she is about to do it or does it like I know this is naughty but I gotta do it anyways :)
Sunday September 16, 2007 - 06:17am
July 4th Holiday Well I had a really great 4th of July weekend!! Started on Wed 7/4/07 @ 7:30am (when I woke up) after about 4-5 hours sleep :) Tried getting to bed earlier then normal but just didn't happen :) Went to parade with Miki & Chandler & Linda & Bill (well met up with them there). The parade was pretty cool, I can't believe how greedy & selfish kids have gotten though! We had a line in front of us & the way they went after that candy was unbelieveable! It was kinda cool (not the kids) it made me feel so....I don't know how to explain it but warm & fuzzy though :) Sitting there with family and surround by a friendly (except most of the kids) community. Then we went & picked up Miki's Grandma-in-law and went to free hot dog festival thingy. Met Jenn & Jeremy & Dominic there. I didn't really visit with them because as I was eating the hot dogs I got so dizzy that I just went & sat down in shade for most of time. Then Miki did some errands and then we stopped & got a couple of movies - The Messenger (not bad but expected more of it) Hannibal Rising (turned out kinda good interesting how they potrait how he become how he was) Dead Silent (was soso - didn't like ending too much though) Bridge to Terabithia (expected more of it but it was okay I guess), we only watched The Messenger and all but 30 min of Hannibal, had to go watch fireworks! :) Then I went to work @ 12am-8am (so I was up for over 24 hours!!) then had to go back to work @ 4pm the next day :) I was a little worn by end of that shift :)
Then on the 7th I went out to Keyhole (after getting off work @ 7am & getting a few hours sleep) & spent day with friend Pam & her family just enjoying the outdoors, then we watched firework show out there. It was actually better then the one in town!! Had these really cool multi colored ones, just regular round ones but they seemed so much prettier! Then they had these white ones that went off in one direction then seemed to go off in another direction right away too, hard to explain but it was kinda like a criss cross action thing, like sky was covered in white x's. (Though walking back up hill to go watch fireworks made me realize how bad my back was, wasn't that far but both my legs and back were spasming like & wanted to collapse)
Then on the 9th had a family picnic and that was really nice. Haven't had that many of us together in like 10-15 years! It was nice to see everyone after so many years (just again wish my back wasn't hurting as much so I could have enjoyed it more)
And on the back problem & whatnot front I have an appointment for this Friday 7/13/07 to finally go see doctor about stuff thats wrong. I'll just be glad to be able to start cleaning & painting & stuff, just hope if I have to do anything major to heal my back it'll wait til after 7/26 so I can help Miki celebrate her birthday! Going to try to mow lawn tomorrow mostly on my own, Miki is going to come over & start it for me, its one that you have to pull the starter thing to get it going & tried to do it in beginning of mowing season but OUCH! I have had to start watering my lawn & trees too! (Its weird to be able to call it mine) :) The weather was rather hot & started to make my lawn brown & can tell trees are hurting. But luckily the weather has cooled, its only for a few days but any days is a blessing! :)
Hopefully next week I'll be going to see the new Harry Potter!!!!!!!! 1st (& last) one I will have seen in the theatre! Of course it isn't in the posh theatre but oh well! :)
Well I am tired & time for me to get started doing something, even if it is just watching my recorded shows :) This working without 2 days off in a row has thrown my rhythm off a bit but it was worth it!!
Wednesday July 11, 2007 - 01:08am
Dang! I can't believe I haven't written anything in over a month!!
Let's see - I am still in having leg/back pain from the move. Getting really bad, going to have to force myself to the doctor soon! I am so sick of not being able to do anything because of the pain! I am being alot more active but it takes days afterwards to get over doing something. Like right now my home sooooo needs a cleaning and finished organizing but its everything I can do just to keep it picked up and clothes and dishes done. I just really hate having to rely on everyone else to do stuff, especially since I want to be helping or doing the things.
Right now Miki & I are working on one of my bathrooms. We (she did most, pain was part of reason but also had Bill & Linda here and had to keep running to them to get them to help with other stuff) have pealed off like 85% of the wallpaper down. Then going to paint it blue with a lighter bluish &/or yellowish highlights kinda.
Miki colored my hair red last week &I love it red!!! :) Oh yeah last month sometime I got it cut back to my shoulders.....at an actual salon!!!!! Haven't been to one in like 15 years! I went with Miki when she got her hair cut and it was like, well I am here & lady has time so what the heck!! I felt soooo much lighter afterwards it was nice :) Going to try to not cut it again til next summer, gotta think of the extra heat for the snowy season
Been going to softball games with Miki & Chandler on Wed (Chris/Billy/Merle (Chris dad)/Chad (Chris brother) and also on Fri (Jenn's) almost everytime they have them. Didn't go last week, pain was just so bad it sapped my strength. Got to hold my niece's baby Wed. Was pretty cool, she is such a cutie!
Not much else to say, still just reading alot, watching tv/movies (although not as much as before) Oh yeah went & saw movie today with Miki & Chandler - was the Rattatuie (too tired to look up correct spelling right now :) Was pretty good! Wow that is like 4 or 5 movies at the theaters already!!!!! At this rate I am going to go to more movies this year then the whole time I was in AZ!!!
I am so thankful to be back in WY and with my family! I have got to think of something special I can do for them to make it up to them for everything they have done and keep doing!!
Well off to finish my clothes up and finish watch the new Ghost in the Shell movie that I recorded from Sci-fi! :)
Monday July 2, 2007 - 01:06am
Its Raining!! Yeah!!!! I have had more weather since I moved then the whole time I was in AZ :) I can never express how much I missed it! It is so cool to wake up to rain :) I can't wait for my 1st snow of the year....and no the snow we had when I moved here doesn't count :) I don't know how I am in a good mood....I am in pain and flippin tired!! Only got a few hours sleep and my back still hurts from move, I know I know I should go to doctor but I just haven't felt like it. Need to go to doctor for other things too but just haven't. Doesn't help that the other day I was hanging up a shower curtain liner and put in new shower handle thingy and I slipped getting out, so now I got this new, more intense pain then before but it seems to almost go away faster then before. I was hoping it would mean I could walk around more but yesterday proved that wasn't true....of course I suppose it didn't help much that I didn't each much day before and only had some pizza yesterday before shopping :)
That is another thing I just love about the move!!! I have been spending more and more time with family, met cousin Jenn and sister Miki and nephews for pizza yesterday. We went to movies to see Pirates of Carribean last Saturday :) 2nd movie already of the year...that I have seen at movie theater :) I have of course seen more then that :) The movie was good...kinda long but good - you definetly want to see the end of the credits though, its worth it. I kinda of wish the ending had been different but you know me, if everyone isn't together completely and happily ever after I tend not to give it rave rave reviews. Lets see what else have we done together...we did a picnic which was really cool, I went and watched a softball practice with Miki for her hubby Chris and my brother Billy, will be going to their softball games...well once it warms a little (night games) and stops sprinkling/raining and will be going to cousin Jenn's games too :) & of course there is the shopping Miki & Chandler (her son & my nephew). I have only gone shopping on my only a couple of times, which I find I don't really like as much cause I got so used to going shopping w/Dawn - who I miss so so so much!! :( I am so glad for internet because otherwise I probably wouldn't have moved, this way we can keep in touch and as soon as I get another little webcam we can see each other again :) Mine got fried in the move or something. I have gone out and visited with Linda (mother) a bit too, kinda only on holidays lately...which seem to keep landing on Sundays which is my back to back day at work so I am always just wiped out! I had to finally skip something on a Sunday with her (her 40th wedding anniversary!) cause I was just so tired. Things need to start landing on any other day besides Sunday :) They have come over here a few times to do little stuff to trailer but we never seem to visit much when they do that, another reason I wish stuff would get all settled faster too, just want to be able to sit with them for a bit without needing this or that done. I am ashamed to say I haven't gone and visited with my aunt Paula or Grandmother as much but I just have been in a funk of sorts. Plus I just don't know how to talk really much. I am slowly coming back out of my shell but its taking some time. I know I know it seems funny since all I do is talk on my job for 8 hours a day but that is different, that's just getting facts and giving facts, I don't do much small talk. I see my aunt Cynthia here and there too & then there is my old friend from here Pam. I have talked to her a bit but the most we have done is I went to her birthday party. I mean to connect more with her to but the funk is just dragging me down and just haven't been up to it. I think once I start painting I might get out of the funk a bit, I have kinda put my stamp on things here but all the walls are white & I haven't gotten anything on the walls so it doesn't feel completely like home yet.
Well that's about it for now, loving it here and am so glad I moved. Part of me wishes I hadn't moved but if I hadn't I wouldn't have so much of an appreciation of everything now. I would still be wishing I had moved and what not. May not be doing as many movie reviews anymore. I still do Netflix but mostly I only get my anime and old movies. If I do run across some good ones I will write about it though :) Love ya all :)
Thursday May 31, 2007 - 06:50am
About time I got this done :) I have finally been able to finish my letter about how the trip went. Don't have the pictures yet but as soon as I take pictures of how things look now in new home (before painting) :) I'll get those posted too. I have finally got all the boxes unpacked, don't have everything placed where I want them yet but at least I don't have those dang boxes calling to me :)
So on Sun 3/25*Mon 3/26 I thought I was doing good with my packing but when I got off work on Mon I was up packing til like 3-4am. Then I got up around 8am still thinking I would be able to get things done by like 10am, 12pm the latest. But I guess I had alot more to do then I thought. Even with Dan/Mike loading alot of it into the u-haul on Mon. We didn't get on the road til 4:44pm Tues 3/27. I crashed like 30-40 min later, don't know for how long though, at least a couple of hours probably. Then I pretty much slept the whole way, well at least til Kaycee, WY. I would wake up, snack a little, try to stay awake but kept falling asleep. I probably slept like 70-80%, I did offer a couple of times to drive for a little while but Dan kept saying he could handle it. Of course by the time he started to soften to letting me drive was when we got to the snowy parts and seeing as I only drove the u-haul from where I picked it up to my house I thought it best in those conditions to let him keep going, unless he started getting tired. But he just seemed like he had no troubles. We only stopped for gas 8 times & then food once. I thought of telling Dan about the backway to get to Gillette but figured I would wake up in time if I fell asleep, but I didn't so we passed it. I woke up again about time we neared Kaycee, we decided it best to try to stop for gas there. When we pulled in though they said they had no power though so we decided to just try to make it to Buffalo, WY. For some of the last part of the trip it started snowing off & on but after Kaycee it got really bad. We got behind one trucker and followed him alot of the way. It got so bad the trucker had to stop though, Dan decided to go around him & I tried to tell him not to, glad he didn't listen to me that time. :) We caught up with some other regular vehicles on the left side & truckers were on the right side. Oh yeah & we started running real low on gas, we were worried we were going to run out before we got to Buffalo since we had to sit & we didn't know how long before we would be running again. Luckily our lane started going and just as we turned into the exit for Buffalo the warning signal about needing fuel came on. So we stop and get gas and then debate on whether or not we want to try to continue down a different road (since the interstate to Gillette was closed). We decided to get some food that was just snacks so we stopped at Pizza Hut. Unfortunately both of us just weren't up for any food, our stomachs just were too nervous like so we only had like 2 pieces each off of buffet, kind of a waste of money but oh well :) Then we decided to go to the other road to see if it was still open, but it wasn't. So we decided to get a hotel room and wait out the storm, we were thinking it would pass soon but it didn't :) We got the last room there and crashed there for like 2 hours when I got a call saying the back road was clear and we could probably make it so we rushed and repacked everything and were on the road again. (Thoughts written from time at Ucross: "I wonder what would have happened if we had left sooner, if I hadn't slept pass Middleton turn off, if we had just stayed in Buffalo. But I haven't let it get me down. We are safe, if a little cold :) There are emergency measures that can still be taken if necessary. I also wonder about if I had tried to stop him from turning into U-cross on 14 or had him just follow plow trucks to probably Sheridan.") The road closure thing was down but we decided to try it so there we went. The road wasn't that bad and by the time we got almost to Ucross we found out why. There was a couple of plows going down the road, found out it was because they were going to a ranch to try to get an officer out that was stuck, and they turned off at the Ucross sign going up to Sheridan. I thought about telling him that we should just turn around or keep following them but I didn't and he gunned it and away we went, and oh were the roads bad! We made it like a mile or so I think when our luck ran out and we got stuck, with the storm still going hard and fast. Luckily there were a couple of cabins right next to the road so when he finally gave up and realized we were truly stuck for good he went and checked them out. He came back and got me (and of course I didn't grab anything like a dumbass) and down the steep like bank we went, it was like up to my thighs so most of the way he was pulling me. Luckily they left the back doors open but they had no heat or water or emergency supplies, but they did have a water cooler and 2 thin decorative like blankets. So I waited in one of the cabins while he went out to check the others and he was gone for sometime so I started getting nervous and got up and started looking out the windows when I could of sworn there was like another set of headlights out there. Turns out there was a truck coming the other direction and then next thing I know I saw the truck, and he got stuck too :) So Dan comes running up yelling lets go & I yell back go ahead and away he went to catch the guy. He helps the guy get unstuck and I finally find a way up the to the truck, but by the time I got up to the other truck I was frozen! Forgot to mention that all I had was a thin sweater thingy and the 2 thin blankets and the wind and what not had not slowed down at all and it took me awhile to find a way up the bank thing. Luckily I found the driveway and just a little side of it was passable by me, the plows that had come in way before had piled the snow quite a bit and I was lucky I didn't fall off the other side of the driveway. (Dang was it cold & harsh/fast snow/wind) So the guy takes us to the main house (guess the cabins we were in were part of this ranch community for artists) and unfortunately they didn't have any emergency supplies or water or heat or fireplaces either, just another water cooler and some food though. So they checked out the place and the guy offered to take us back to the cabins to be close the u-haul and to go back to one of the cabins that had mattresses and blankets but I just couldn't handle trying to get through the snow banks and the cold and I just didn't think it was a good idea to seperate from the one person with a vehicle unstuck. On the way to the ranch we saw another vehicle seem to be stuck so he went back and helped them get unstuck. It was the electric company trying to get power back on. (The way I see it is if we hadn't gone about things the way we did then we/Dan wouldn't have been able to unstuck the other guy and that guy wouldn't have been able to unstuck the electric guys) So we stayed the night, I took off a quilt that was hanging up and got this thin blanket out of a closet and a rug and finally convinced Dan to sleep next to me to share heat since we were both cold and wet. I had to get up couple times to go to restroom and although it was kinda cold in the house I would walk from one end of the house to the other in my socks and that would warm me up. I knew if we slept next to each other we would get warm enough and I was right, I was actually sweating at times. From what little I saw of the ranch house and the rec room up by the road it made me wish I had the energy to go look at the other little cabins there. Finally we fell asleep (I slept more there then I had for probably a month and that is surprising since it was rather uncomfortable) and Dan slept more or less til the guy knocked on the door saying an officer had come and unstuck people that got unstuck down the road from where the u-haul had gotten stuck and we could either get a ride with him back to the u-haul or back to Buffalo and of course we chose Buffalo. But we got ever luckier when we got close to where the u-haul was sitting, snowed in up pass the tires, and a guy in a tractor with a plow thingy hooked to the front helped us get it unstuck so we got to go back to Buffalo with the u-haul. I was worried we would have to leave it behind and since it was stuck in the middle of the road so I figured the big plows would just push it into the ditch or who knows what and then there was the how the heck would we be able to get back to it. Of course I stayed in the warm truck with the other guy so I was riding without my eyes shut, clenched hands and teeth in worry (which I was doing almost all the way from Kaycee then from Buffalo). So we get to Buffalo and turns out the front lady had already extended our stay at the hotel so we didn't have to worry about that and we both declared that neither of us were going anywhere til the interest officially opened completely. So the next day we get up and go wait near the intersection but give up and go get more gas and Dan asked the clerk when the roads were going to open and found out it wasn't going to be til like 12am or the next day. So back to the hotel we go and spend yet another night there doing nothing but watching tv and sleeping. I woke up like 4am the next day and called the road closure line and found out the roads were open but decided not to wake Dan up yet so I took a shower and repacked stuff and finally woke him up like around 5-5:30am and we were on the road like around 6-6:30am. Made it to Gillette about 8am and got to my new home!! Its really nice & big & never did I think I would have something like this! Dan started to unload things and when Miki and Chris show up he went to get a haircut and Miki and Bill unloaded the u-haul while I was putting boxes into which room they would probably go to. Everything got unpacked so quick, much quicker then it got loaded on :) Then Miki & I took u-haul back then met everyone at Humphries for lunch then after we went to Linda's house & sat & talked for a bit. Then Dan and his family left and then everyone else left too and I was left on my own :)
Here are a few more thoughts and what not but I just can't think of where to put them and stuff :) Told Dan to dress comfortable not thinking it might actually snow so he only had thin shorts & sweatshirt when he would get out in cold & snow to fill gas. He changed into pants in Buffalo where we had got the last room & left when Miki called saying the roads to Gillette were open & clear (at least that is how I heard it) Thought/hoped soon after left Buffalo things would clear up but they didn't. At couple of points it would completely white out and he would speed up, finally I told him to stop speeding up and he started yelling back at me like how didn't I want to get there today or next week. Which I said I would like to get there in one piece and don't care how long it takes. There were a few spots were I would just shut my eyes and clench my pillow. I don't think I would have had such trouble with things if in regular vehicle. One time Dan was trying to follow behind a trucker but got too close and trucker tried shaking him but Dan wouldn't let him change lanes without following him so he got into like a little scuffle almost with him while driving. I finally had to tell him to stop it & just let the guy go. Near U-Cross boarder then was this big 18 wheeler stuck up on the side of the road up on a bank. Kinda glad we didn't try the back way - what if we got stuck that way and my cell service went out? Wasn't getting any service really up that way. When we got here I had a nice little house warming present from the previous owner and a tool kit from Bill/Linda and some soda and muffin/cinnamon rolls. It is so nice to be able to do clothes whenever I want :)

Here & Happy :) I finally made it here :) I have been home for 5 days. Still really tired but I got like 85% unpacked. Now to just find places for everything!! I will write more about it soon but just can't stop being tired all the time. I kinda wish I didn't have to go back to work tomorrow though!! I like just hanging out with my family :) But I am kinda ready too - its like soooo much has changed and I am so happy & grateful for it but I need a little bit of my old day to day thing for it all to hit home I think. It is so weird to be in a new home & surroundings with all my old things :) Well I need to try to crash for another hr or so - finally got like 95% done with all my e-mail stuff. Had over 500 messages to go through & what not :) So not complaining though :)

7 Days! Well its getting down to the wire! 7 days!!!! I can't wait! Not looking forward to the drive, especially since I will have to go slower & be more cautious & alert then next time. At least I won't be alone & will only be doing like 1/2 of the driving.
I am like 80% done packing. The only really big hurdle I have left is the books. The rest is just little stuff here & there. I would probably be done by now if I wasn't dusting everything really well & writing down everything. And when I say everything I mean every little thing I put in a box I write it down. Might seem a little anal but it is something I have always wanted to do, is write down everything I have & where it is. Hopefully when I unpack it i'll keep track of it :) I am so glad I got off my behind & started packing when I did, I would hate to see what would have happened if I had just left it all til last minute.
I already have a place to live too!!!!! I am just totally & completely blown away by that! My family bought it for me - i'll be renting to own :) It has 3 bedrooms too so i'll be able to have my computer in a little office, I am really wondering if that'll mean I won't be as stressed at times like I am now. It is so cramped here now, well partially I think that is because I have a roommate, and all his stuff is out, had no where to put it all. Also may have a vehicle when I move up there. Of course I probably won't have any extra money for years but it'll be worth it!
Well I burned myself out on packing last night, got off early at 10pm and was packing til 6am. But I got all my recorded shows watched too :) So I am going to go crash some more :)

Movies! Open Season - Another cute one! But the squirrels were not as squirrely as some other movies. Liked how the animals fought back at the end! Very cleverly done :) Kinda wish the bear had gone back to the human in the end but it was for the best :)
One Night With The King - I had kinda heard this story before, a bit to religiousy for me but I liked it. Kinda filled in the empty spaces of the story I hadn't known. Another one if she had been more honest there would have been less pain.
The Science of Sleep - Thought this would be better then it was, didn't like the ending too much. But it was a quirky little fun film :)
Zoom Academy For Superheroes - Was a kiddish kinda of movie that I liked. But I didn't like the comic bookish feel at the end. Kinda think they either should have toned it down or did more of it throughout.
Marie Antoinette - I thought this might be about the Marie that invented something. it looked kinda colorful and light for a piece done about that time. But made me wonder what happened after they got run out.
Flushed Away - Very cute, funny store mostly about mice, from England so I of course recommend it :)
The Prestige - Good story about magicians. Ending was so so. Don't know what I would do to make it better. The end was a little sad but kinda like the punishment was right. After all if only they had been more honest it wouldn't have gone that bad, all cause of greed. But my question was which one was the original?
Employee of the Month - A bit of a light hearted comedy/love story. Did have a few funny parts in it and of course the snotty, mean, head up his butt guy got his just rewards in the end :)
Kinky Boots - Made in England area and had kinky in title so I just HAD to get it :) Was a good one but had me hating the main character at one point, but he kinda made up for it. Loved the ending! :)
Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties - Gotta say I was surprised with this one a little. Being it's a sequel with animation in it, was thinking it might bomb but it was actually good. And they brought the same people back. Gotta love Odie :)
Jackass: Number Two - I just had to watch it since some of their pranks are funny but there didn't seem to be too many this time, but there were some.
The Guardian - Was a pretty good one. Ashton did a good job being serious. This is one of a few that I actually liked the sad original ending over the happy one in the extras.
Saw 3 - They pulled off another good horror sequel! Had me turning away in a few parts like the others! Although there was that 1 tiny detail at the end that I didn't like too much. That was it!
The Grudge 2 - Goodish horror flick. Not as good as 1st one but not bad. Couldn't really tell on the time lines though. It was kinda like they jumped back and forth without any warning. Really confusing with how it ended.
Stranger Than Fiction - Cute, funny little comedy/love story. had me laughing in a few parts. Kinda glad she changed....well not gonna give that part away :)
The Return - Thought this was gonna be a scarey movie but it wasn't. It was a thriller/suspense, wasn't too bad. I liked the ending the best though. Made the movie kinda make sense.
Casino Royale - This movie sucked, as a James Bond movie!! If you make yourself try to not remember he is supposed to be a Bond then it isn't all that bad. He's a good looking actor and the action was good.
The Holiday - Loved this movie! Part of it was in England and loved all the actors/actresses. heart warming love/comedy story. Ending was good too but wish they had brought the old guy with them in the end.

Cracked Pot An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck. One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what had been made to do.After 2 years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house."The old woman smiled, "Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side?""That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them.""For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house."Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them.

27 Days to go :) I can finally start counting down!!! I am starting to get really anxious. Starting to get more & more done and it feels great! I get a little sad about probably never seeing this place again & extremely sad I won't be seeing my friend(s) but I really need a change. I realized I only moved to be nearier to all this close stuff I guess, and to get away from the snow. But it has been close to 15 years without it and I realized I need to go back. I miss family, the friendly people, the weather visibily changing with the seasons. Plus now that I can work from home & order pretty much any quirky stuff I want over the internet I can go anywhere, but I just want to be near family again. I miss the get togethers and holidays. My life may not change all that drastically when I get up there but when I went to visit it just called to me. So even if the only thing that changes is the outdoors and I don't change my routines or life I think it will still be a positive experience. The only negative is being out of hugging distance to my friend(s). Well I am all mooshy & emotional and need to get to bed. Hopefully I'll wake up with energy tomorrow & repaint my bathroom white :) I know I probably don't need to but just wouldn't feel right leaving it pink & purple for landlord to handle, of course I am leaving the bedroom light green probably. That's not so hard to cover up

Movies! I have no idea what order these should be :)
The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines - Just had to mention it cause, hello library! Love Books! Although it didn't show to many books. It was an ok sequel. They brought all but 1 person back from 1st & that always helps :)
Lady in the Water - It was pretty good. I even jumped at one point. It was a sci-fi/fairy tale movie without a lot of special effects/graphics. Seemed kinda poignant.
Lucky Number Slevin - It was a little drawn out but a good movie. I had figured it out about 1/2 way but still liked the ending twist. Can't say much more without giving it away :)
Accepted - Was a good one but not too believable, but then again that is why we watch movies :) Ending was a bit predictable though.
The Davinci Code - I was a little hesitant to watch this since it seemed little religious I think, but it turned out to be good. I liked the very ending where he figured out where it was hidden.
Curious George - Was ok, I had thought they were going to make it without animation. Kinda felt like they could have done more to it/for it.
The Last Sect - Vampire flick, that was so, so. Acting could have been better. Kinda liked it though. Wish there had been some male vampires though.
Goal! The Dream Begins - Was a good feel good movie and of course in England so that made it even better for me :) Liked how the immaturish guy grew up in the end.
Take the Lead - I liked this one but not sure if it was just because of Antonio Banderas :) The ending was kinda hinky but the dancing was good.
Brother Bear 2 - Very nice sequel. Liked how the girl turned into his mate & of course the moose made it so much funnier, eh! :)
Population 436 - Since the previews already pretty much told ya what it was all about there wasn't any real surprise. But of course I had wished the guy had got the girl in the end! :)
The Score - Good actors doing good acting. Liked the movie. Ending was good too. The gooder guy of them came out on top :)
Click - Good movie but not as funny as I was hoping it would be. Liked all the actors in it though. Liked the almost end of it but wish he would have kept the clicker :)
Over the Hedge - Loved Loved this one! Again the squirrel was just hilarious! There's a comic strip about this but just not the same without the color & animation.
The Breakup - Movie wasn't too overly bad til the ending which I totally hated so would recommend.
The City of Lost Children - I really liked this. Just cause of the feel of it. I like these kind of dream like movies. I know I should be able to write more on the movies I really like but for some reason when I really like them I can't seem to be overly expressive on them.
Snakes on a Plane - I was worried it would seem kinda ho hum, ya know not much can be done on a plane. But it was surprisingly good. It even had me jumping at one point! :)
The Descent - Another good horror flick although I didn't like the very very end of it. I didn't like the whole closed in squeezing threw tiny tunnels thing, just not my cup! I do believe it had me jumping in one place too, always a good sign. I especially like the end where the 2 chicks got all tough & fought hard core!! :)
The Covenant - What can I say other then I of course Loved, Loved, Loved it! But I am not sure if I liked how they left it up in the air on whether bad guy was dead or not. But then again they set it up for a sequel. Wish there had been some female witches though!
Superman Returns - Was ok - Didn't like how he seemed to be trying to be so much like Christopher Reed. Like the baby part though! :)
Ice Age 2 - Love it!! Especially the sloth parts & of course the squirrel! :)
See No Evil - Liked this one basically cause of the whole abandoned, empty hotel. Wash an ok horror flick.
Pulse - Good horror flick, right up there with White Noise & Ring I/II. Almost had to sleep with lights on. Just cause of the techno angle (although now thinking back if techno related wouldn't I want no electricity on?!? Great now I am going to be flippin out about that on the next one like it!) Liked the ending especially.
Pirates of the Caribbean-Dead Man's Chest - I liked the fighting scenes but it was pretty long & didn't like how it ended. Liked the dead mens make up though. Was pretty neat.
Foxfire - Older movie with Angelina Jolie in it. Wasn't all that bad - mostly liked it cause she was in it :)
The Devil Wears Prada - Not really into fashion but liked it. Just wish the guy she had slept with hadn't turned into a jerk/loser.
Material Girls - Predictable little fluff like movie for teens mostly but wasn't bad.
Talladega Nights - Eh, didn't really like it but did have a few funny parts, but not many.
A Scanner Darkly - Didn't like it, just couldn't get into it. Graphics were a little cool.
The Wicker Man - Liked a few parts of it but hated the ending!
The Omen 666 - Was ok. Didn't like ending so really tainted how I think of it. Kind of same old same old on the whole evil thing though.
Monster House - Graphics were good but I just didn't like how the characters looked. But movie wasn't bad.
An American Haunting - I liked this ghost like flick. It brought up a different view on them/it and I liked how it opened ladies eyes in the end.
A Prairie Home - Was a feel good movie, I liked it but seemed really long since just talking and singing.
Mission Impossible III - Was ok. Good special effects but didn't like the fact that only thing all 3 movies had in command was 2 actors.
The Wild - Not bad but just seemed too much like Madagascar (I think) Liked the wild beast parts tough :)
Cars - Very cute, Loved the tow truck the most! :) Very cute/good ending.

What's new :) Let's see - too get back up to speed
I gave my fish away at Christmas to a lady with kids - hopefully they'll love and treat them right
Finally decided on a month to move.....April!!! :) Well it was going to be March but seeing as I am never around snow I forgot all about that being a factor for driving. So on safe side we pushed it forward a month
My friend Dawn is getting me a going away tattoo :) I've decided on a moon to go with my sun like one :) But I am going to try to get a cheerful moon since my sun looks kinda dark. Have plans for the this butterfly that seems to be flaming almost :) Its really colorful & then also a faery that has earthy colors
I am going to try to start to mail my keeper books to my sister up there! I have almost 2 months so I am hoping on a box a week or so will hopefully bring my load going up down a bit. :) Joined another book site & am hoping to move more books that way but only 1 so far.
Finally got cd's sorted/packed/listed for the trip & whiddled them down some & listed them on cd site I belong too :) Had like 7 requested already!
Also finally got everything listed that I have (but books) :) I look at it & around me & sometimes it just feels impossible! If I don't stop thinking about it I start to get all worried about it & my stomach starts to hurt....but then I think of what it would be like to stay here, to be without my family, and I start to calm down. I think I once swore never to go back but I have grown up I guess. Plus I miss the weather changes!!! Plus away from the heat! It has started to get over 70's in the apartment even with all the blinds closed & no appliances or anything on! I woke up today & it was 71 already in here!
I am trying to get off hard sugar, I have stopped having my MD, even regular caffeine for the most part. I have some maybe every other week or so now. I bought a tea pot (the kind you heat up on the stove) and have used that to make tea a time or two but not lately. Don't know why - pretty easy to do
I am still having modem/internet problems. Of course it couldn't possibly be the cables fault! Not to mention they never see any problems, of course I had a guy who insisted he looked everywhere, like the last time. Tried telling him same thing happened last time and the other techs looked somewhere else & noticed the problems but he wouldn't listen to me. Its like he thought I was making it up or something! UUUGGGGHHHH I just have to put up with it for 2 more months and then hopefully I will get better reception up there! Oh & it really upsets me now cause I was doing the Watch Now thing at Netflix & it would pause, say internet connection has slowed and we have to change to be able to connect or something like that! This is the 2nd time I have used the feature & the first time I had absolutely no problems!
Ok I gotta go & get the movies listed here :)
So after I get done typing this on my notebook (I have so learned my lesson about just trying to type it all here & hope my connection doesn't hiccup) I try to come here to post & lo & behold my connection is gone - so I decide just to do it later so I went & took a nap - woke up & connection still gone. So I do some stuff to my modem & whatnot but no deal, so I spend 20 or so minutes on phone with cable company & they finally declare they can't do anything over phone so they will send a tech out. Of course I was supposed to be working in like 10 min at that point so I was majorly stressing. So the guy comes out and all he does is unhook & rehook the flippin cable & it starts working again! That's $25 I'll never see again! Oy! If I wasn't moving soon I would so switch over to the phone company!!

Christmas So here I go again. I was good this time and actually wrote about Christmas the day after but just as I was about to save it my computer froze!! So it has been hard for me to do again since in my mind I have already wrote about it :)
So for Christmas I got all this cool stuff, one of my better ones in a long time. Not only that but my cooking turned out good. I cooked a ham all by myself and it turned out good, even made the baste on my own. Went a little by a recipe I found on line but didn't have all the ingredients to had to improvise. My mashed potatoes and deviled eggs were much better this time, its amazing what reading directions can do :) But dingy that I am forgot to check if I had corn and of course I didn't so I was out of luck. Then I heated up some frozen biscuits that I didn't even burn! :) And I bought a pecan pie, since can't go without on holidays :) And my very proud moment for me was making a jello ribbon cake thing that my grandmother used to make, it turned out very good if I do say so myself :) Even my roommate liked it. Of course I didn't use same jello the recipe asked for since I didn't check it til too late but I still really liked it.
My timing was a little off cooking since I didn't start til late so I was still finishing up while working but it wasn't too bad. I am just so glad this will be the last holiday I have to spend alone!
I had to work New Years Eve but I got off right at midnight so roommate & I opened a bottle of Strawberry wine & toasted to the New Year! :)
